Farm History

Oda Registered Haflingers began as Oda and Sons Pony Farm in the late 1950s. The farm was started by Larry's father, Kenneth Oda who trained the ponies and built several quality show hitch wagons for ponies and draft horses. The sons - Larry, Paul and David - assisted with much of the training and driving. In the late 1960s and early 70s they became well-known as Oda and Son's Eight Pony Hitch and were the feature of many parades and shows throughout Ohio. Today, Larry and Carol Oda operate Oda Registered Haflingers with the assistance of daughter Lisa, who rides, drives and is the webmaster, and son in law Mike Fede, who drives and builds our custom show carts. David and family also show haflingers as RoDaO Farm.
